FUNDER EDUCATION TOUR

 

REGISTRATION AND TRAVEL INFORMATION

Registration for the spring Funder Education Tour is now open through Thursday, May 7, 2026. The cost to participate in this unique, all-inclusive* 4-day, 3-night journey curated by Black farmers and organizers across the state of Mississippi, is $3,500 per person for single lodging, or $6,000 for 2 adults sharing lodging accommodations.  

 

The registration fee covers:

​

• Eight (8) meals, with lunch and dinners curated by SAAFON farmer hosts;

• 3 nights of lodging in Gulfport, Jackson, and Waterford, Mississippi;

• Farm tours expenses;

• Charter bus travel between farms from South to North Mississippi, and

• Ground transportation from Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport* on Tuesday, and to the Memphis airport on Friday.

*Airfare is not included. Participants must book their own travel into Gulfport-Biloxi airport, preferably by Tuesday, June 2nd at 2:00p.m., with departures from Memphis, TN, on Friday, June 5th after 11:00am, if at all possible.

Please note that the Tour begins at 4:00p.m. on Tuesday, June 2nd in Gulfport, MS, and ends 471 miles away from the starting point, at Foxfire Ranch in Waterford, MS on Friday, June 5th. This is not a looped tour. (Participants are responsible for their own arrangements if they need to return to the Mississippi Gulf Coast on Friday.)

Registered guests will be invited to participate in a pre-Tour orientation. Due to the private and intimate nature of this tour, no walk-up registrations are allowed, and no participants will be allowed to join the Tour after the charter bus leaves Gulfport at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday June 3rd.

• Single Admission (1 Adult) - private accommodations

  • $3,500.00​

• Group Admission (2 Adults) - shared accommodations required. A separate registration form must be completed for each individual.

  • $6,000.00
